During the last week we made a great effort to get ready for the 2011 H26 HF Contest. Several clean up and preparation tasks were done. HB9ELV provided a Yaesu Quadra Amplifier for great signals. We also put a new power generator in place which solves our power problems in the future.
On Saturday we start building up the Clubstation on the Hilltop. Several measurements and tests were done to make everything ready. The Yagi for 20, 15 and 10 meters is mounted and runs, at least we could reach New Zealand ;p As well the dipole for all bands is put in place and runs. The Quadra amplifier provided some nice signal reports from overseas. Also the Generator does he’s job as he should. It seems that the equipment is ready and we don’t get under a time pressure. Next Week we will build the beverage receiving antenna system to get some nice low band points. Our goal is to get a top three ranking!
